Director Research

The film director controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects and visualise the screenplay (or script) while guiding technical crew and actors with the fulfilment of that vision, the director has a key roll in choosing actors.

Skills you'll need to be a director also include, 
  • Creativity, this is a necessity since directors tell stories throughout the film.
  • Communication, on a movie set to keep things running as smoothly as possible.
  • Leadership and management, with so many aspects of a movie under a directors control, skills like these are vital.
Personally my favourite director is Martin Scorsese, born in New York and he is well known for his gritty meticulous filmmaking. 

He is known for many films that are rated highly by critics such as Goodfellas, taxi driver and raging bull.
