DECONSTRUCTION SCENE

Deconstruction
For this task I'm going to deconstruct a scene from silence of the the lambs.

Shot 1 (3 seconds) close up:

Camera pans right whilst female protagonist takes deep breaths cautiously before breaking and entering the property of suspicion, we see the character holding a gun and pointing it as breaking into the vicinity, this scene is dark and gloomy and creates the films atmosphere.

Shot 2  close up:

Panning right at this point the place of interests door has been barged open and a gun is pointing into the area, the protagonist is taking some caution with a lethal weapon, makes a loud sound as the door is opened and crashes against side of room.

Shot 3 Low angle: The protagonist has broken down the door with force and gone against the wall, she is pointing the gun in a position ready to let bullets discharge, as you can see, her facial expressions show fear as her mouth is dropped and the look in her eyes looks fearful, she is clenching the gun like she doesn't want to let go of it at all.
Shot 4 ( half a second from last) low angle: You can see from the previous photo, that now her mouth has completely gaped her mouth open and her eyes pricked up, she has lowered her gun to show that she's seen something, before the next shot, the audience would be questioning in their mind quickly whats to come next as the protagonist looks very shocked.

Shot 5 High angle: Taken from this shot, the viewers would be looking at the body, the angle used makes it look powerless as the victim is dead. This is where you find out what the protagonist was looking at, a decomposing body would make anyone move to the edge of the seat, the shot zooms down on the body a bit and this makes us feel very much immersed into the movie, slow pan.

Shot 6 (couple seconds) The scene now goes completely dark, the use of the pitch black feeling makes all the viewers feel like they do not know what to expect next as with your vision impaired, you go completely off your bearings and are left with the last image of the area to go with, especially the fear is added when the protagonist looks like she doesn't know the place she is entering, now meaning she is in complete deep water. The sound of the lights being turned off makes her make an incomprehensible sound which may be associated with alarm and distress.

Shot 7 (transition) POV shot: This is where we get the transition the protagonist to the antagonist following the scene of it going completely dark, we now see that Dr. Hannibal Lecter has the complete upper hand as he is wearing night vision goggles and we see that the protagonist stumbles a bit falls onto her back against the wall and takes many small breaths, she looks around but as you can see she is completely lost. The place that they are in looks completely run down by looking at the sink and mirror, we also see that she is holding the gun very close to her, ready to shoot.

Shot 8 POV: This shot we get to see the protagonist aimlessly waving her arms around to try and get a grip of something and to try and get her bearings, we know she cannot see a thing as she is leaning on the wall so she has one safe spot and knows she won't fall back, she tries placing her hand on something that isn't stable and it throws her off a bit and the gun she is holding is facing the ceiling, carries on with very frightened breathing throughout.

Shot 9 Eye level shot: This is where we learn that we have been looking through the eyes of the antagonist and we now see him staring at his victim, the surroundings are black but as we can see they have made the antagonist look sinister as he hasn't got full face showing and he is the only thing in focus, this makes him look evil as in the scene he starts walking towards the protagonist.
